According to police reports, Jarvis Allison Jr. was shot shortly after 7:15 p.m. at Bradley Park on North Park Road. Jarvis Allison Jr., known as JJ to friends, was described as a respectful and kind-hearted student with aspirations of graduating and building a future. He was a junior at Peoria High School and participated in JROTC, where instructors recalled his discipline and dedication. Loved ones said he enjoyed basketball, spending time with friends, and supporting his younger sister.
The Peoria Public Schools district has provided crisis counselors to support students and staff, while community leaders are calling for unity and action against rising youth violence. A memorial has begun forming at Bradley Park as residents gather to honor his life.
